1. Our Agreement with You  

When you book with Penman Travel Co., you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Depending on your booking, we may act as the principal (for packages we arrange) or as an agent for third‑party suppliers (for individual travel services). Your confirmation invoice will state which applies.

2. Financial Protection

  • Package holidays including flights are protected under our ATOL licence.

  • Non‑flight packages and other arrangements may be protected by ABTA.

  • You will receive an ATOL Certificate or ABTA confirmation where applicable.

3. Booking and Payment

  • A deposit is required at booking; the balance is due no later than 8 weeks before departure unless otherwise stated.

  • Some services (e.g., low‑cost flights, cruises) require full payment at booking.

  • Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation and loss of deposit.

4. Cancellations by You

  • Cancellation charges vary depending on the service booked and the supplier’s terms.

  • Full details will be provided at booking.

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover cancellation costs.

5. Changes by You

  • We will try to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

  • Changes may incur administration fees and supplier charges.

6. Cancellations or Changes by Us

  • We may need to make changes due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., weather, supplier issues).

  • If a significant change occurs, you may accept the change, choose an alternative, or cancel for a full refund.

7. Our Liability

  • For packages where we are the principal, we are responsible for ensuring services match the description and are of a reasonable standard.

  • Where we act as an agent, responsibility lies with the supplier.

8. Complaints

  • Raise any issues immediately with the supplier and notify us as soon as possible.

  • If unresolved, you may use ABTA’s dispute resolution scheme.

9. Travel Requirements

  • You are responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, visas, and health documentation.

  • Entry requirements vary by destination.

10. Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland unless otherwise agreed.
